Join your friends and volunteer to be a host for CPCUG at the Internet Cafe at the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair in Gaithersburg. The Fair runs August 10th through the 18th and we need volunteers to staff our booth for the entire time the Fair is open.
In order to cover the entire Fair day we run three shifts of volunteers. From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. We need 2 people (minimum) at the booth for each shift. As a Fair volunteer, you will be provided with FREE admission to the Fair for the entire day. That means you can work your shift and then spend the rest of the day at the Fair for FREE. The Internet Cafe is inside in an air conditioned space so there are no weather worries for our volunteers. As a volunteer you'll be expected to show people how to use the internet and talk a little about CPCUG.
Parking for the Fair is free if you use the Perry Parkway entrance. Perry Parkway is the main parking lot/entrance to the Fair. There is a FREE trolly that will take you from the parking lot to the Chilly Mall. You can also park for FREE over at Lake Forest Mall and take their FREE shuttle buses over to the Fair. The Mall shuttle stops near Chilly Mall as well.
